Softtech, which received 5,561 applications from 172 different universities this year within the scope of the program, aims to develop pioneering technologies with young and talented engineers and to become a global brand that produces technology.

Applications and recruitment for Softtech’s “Generation Talent” program, which has been running since 2016 for engineering faculty seniors and new graduates, have been completed. This year, 5,561 engineers applied for the program, and as a result of the evaluations and eliminations, 73 engineers and engineering candidates had the opportunity to join the Softtech family.

Young engineers were evaluated with the Learning Agility approach
Softtech General Manager Murat Ertem, who stated that they are a human resources company as well as a technology company, said, “People are at the center of all our activities. The need for young and talented human resources is increasing in our country as well as all over the world. Therefore, as Softtech, we invested in a human resources talent management program based on the ‘Learning Agility’ approach. We adapted this philosophy to our Talent Generation program this year. We received applications from all over Turkey. Candidates who applied via chatbot on the Softtech website went through a series of test stages where their coding skills, software knowledge, and strategic and solution-oriented thinking potential were evaluated. The interview process was initiated with more than 300 people who successfully completed these stages. The young engineering candidates who were invited to the interview completed an interview process they had never experienced before on learning agility and values for 4 days.”

The number of applications increases every year
Noting that there has been a significant increase in the number of applications since the Talent Generation program was launched in 2016, Ertem said, “While 3,300 people applied to the program we started in 2018 to develop technologies that create time for life together with young talents, to reveal the talents of our well-equipped engineers and engineering candidates and to lead technology, this year we received applications from a total of 5,561 people from 172 different universities. I have full confidence that the 73 talented engineers who joined our team will add value to Softtech.”

Ertem: “We support in-house entrepreneurship and innovation”
Ertem, who stated that in the ‘Generation Talent’ program, in addition to full-time work experience, it is also possible to develop entrepreneurship projects in the field of technology, said, “We attach great importance to in-house entrepreneurship and innovation in Softtech. We support our employees in the development and implementation of innovative business ideas. Our talented engineers who participate in our innovation projects can benefit from the training, mentoring and academic support program specially designed by Softtech Academy. The team that successfully completes their projects also visits Softtech’s innovation centers in San Francisco and Shanghai. Our goal is to increase entrepreneurship within the company and to undertake pioneering projects. Gullseye, the port automation system that emerged as a product within Softtech and won the Best In-house Entrepreneurship Award, is among the most important examples of this.”

Visiting universities in Anatolia
Noting that they visit universities to strengthen university-industry cooperation and explain the Talent Generation programs, Ertem said, “As Softtech, we have visited 17 universities in Anatolia to date and both explained the ‘Talent Generation’ to students and provided seminars for the sector. University students studying in Istanbul and Ankara have easier access to companies compared to students in Anatolia.
