With the permission of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and under the scientific leadership of Ege University, the Klaros Ancient Excavation Site in İzmir’s Menderes district became the center of a unique event that brought physicians together with the ancient wisdom of the past
Hosted by Humanis and organized in line with Saya Holding’s vision of preserving cultural heritage, the event united the fields of science, culture, and health to offer physicians an inspiring experience.
Early in the morning, participants explored the Klaros site under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Onur Zunal, Scientific Advisor to the excavation. They examined important structures such as the Temple of Apollo, offering areas, the sacred water source, accommodation buildings, and honorary monuments.
Known as an oracle center in ancient times, Klaros was also discussed as a birthplace of early spiritual and physical healing practices. Throughout the visit, thought-provoking discussions were held on the cultural and historical foundations of modern medicine.
